Audit and Assurance
Ribchesters provide statutory audit services for organisations that are required or choose to have an audit.
Your business may require an audit for a number of different reasons. You may need to undertake an audit for Companies Act or Charities Act purposes. You may be a pension scheme or other regulated organisation. Or you may need an audit to satisfy your various stakeholders. For whatever purpose an audit is required we take time to understand your business and work with you at all stages of the audit process. Working with you we will put together an approach that is designed to both overcome the risk areas and provide advice on the future strategy and direction of your business.
Whilst there has and continues to be an increase in the statutory audit thresholds, meaning that many organisations are not legally obliged to undertake an audit, many organisations benefit from the assurance that an audit opinion can provide.
Ribchesters go beyond simply delivering the opinion and assurance you need to fulfill your statutory obligations. Our experienced audit team will identify potential problem areas, provide systems improvement ideas, proactively offer advice, challenge ideas and provide strategic thinking, all of which will add value to your business.
As registered auditors, we provide the statutory audit services required under Corporate, LLP, Charities, Academies, Pensions and Friendly Society Legislation. We are experienced in the financial reporting requirements of UK GAAP, IFRS and the various SORPS, including those for charities and academies.
Assurance engagements
All businesses are reliant on their accounting systems to be robust to allow for reliable financial reporting, tax compliance and to enable them to have control over their finances.
As a cost efficient alternative to an independent audit (or perhaps as a prelude to a future audit) we can perform an in depth review of your current financial reporting system. This could highlight any areas of concern in advance and recommend areas for improvement where appropriate.
Other Assurance services
Ribchesters perform a number of specialist assurance engagements for a number of different businesses and stakeholders such as:
- Those in receipt of grants who are required to submit and Accountants Report to the grant making body;
- Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) reports prepared under the Solicitors Act;
- Other Audit reports prepared for businesses who hold client monies, for example those in the property industry who require annual reports to satisfy the requirements of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the National Approved Letting Scheme (NALS) etc.
We are registered to carry out Audit work in the UK by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Details about our audit registration can be viewed at www.auditregister.org.uk under reference number C003802632.
